MONTEREY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING MINUTES
Date: March 3, 2014
Present: John Makuc, Robert Annelli and Peter Kolodziej
Also present: Joe Baker
The meeting began at 4pm
1. The minutes from 1/6/14 were approved.
2. Joe Baker came in representing the Friends of Wilson McLaughlin House to discuss a variance they are applying for to the State Plumbing Code to only have one bathroom instead of the two that are required. The one bathroom is going to be handicap accessible. The Board supports the letter the Architect will be submitting and will submit something in writing in support of the request. The Board informed Joe that prior to opening a Title V inspection should be performed to make sure that everything is operating correctly.
3. Peter brought the Board up to date on a discussion he had with Engineer Joe DuPuis who is working on some proposed projects at Hume on Chestnut Hill. 4. Peter invited him to a meeting to make a presentation.
4. Peter updated the Board on his conversation with Eric from Gould Farm on some lines to be replaced on their wastewater treatment plant. The Board doesn’t require any permits as this is being overseen by the State.
5. The Elizabeth Freeman Center has contacted us about the assistance they are trying to offer Millie Church (along with Elder Services) and her hoarding issue.
6. The Board signed the FY15 agreement with the Berkshire Visiting Nurse Association.
7. The Board will meet next on March 17th at 4pm.
